Join us on Wednesday, April 11th at noon for Books Sandwiched In. This month’s speakers will be Marie Fitzsimmons and Kirk Peters who will talk to us about their time working for the Peace Corps in Rwanda in 2017.

Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, Kirk Peters and Marie Fitzsimmons have served in Lesotho, China, Namibia and Rwanda. Come learn about the history and culture of their latest adventure to the Land of One Thousand Hills. Twenty three years post genocide, the small East African nation shows resilience and strength as its people live peacefully and strive to conquer poverty. Marie and Kirk taught in a rural mountain school and have come away with deep respect and admiration for the people of Rwanda. Come learn about the remarkable country and the experiences of the two Volunteers.
