Friends of Watkins Library

Friends of Watkins Library (FOWL) was founded in 1977 by Mary Lemak and Charlotte Callanan. Each year FOWL supports many activities, including the Books Sandwiched In series and the library’s annual Book Sale. The Friends also support beautification of the library through plants and flowers, and repairs and improvements. FOWL has also sponsored National Library Week Recognition, annual book sales, storytellers and musicians, and assists financially when the library needs it.
